Cheetah Mobile Named the No.3 Worldwide Top Publisher

Mobile app analytics firm App Annie released its highly regarded annual report on January 28th, the App Annie Index 2014 Retrospective, in which it named Cheetah Mobile as a leader in two highly competitive categories.
Claiming the No. 3 Top Publisher spot (after only Facebook and Google) for Worldwide iOS and Google Play downloads outside of games, we ranked ahead of all other China-based publishers. Additionally, Cheetah Mobile’s flagship app, Clean Master, was named the No. 6 Downloaded App Worldwide for iOS and Google Play, coming in just after powerhouse messaging and social media apps including Facebook Messenger and Instagram. While Clean Master continues to be our number one downloaded app, we’ve also seen remarkable growth in our other core mobile products including Battery Doctor, CM Security, PhotoGrid, and CM Browser.
In the Games category, which remains the most downloaded category of apps, Cheetah Mobile-published “Don’t Tap The White Tile” was named the No. 9 Most Downloaded Game App of 2014. The game drove the most impressive numbers in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and France.
Cheetah Mobile has grown exponentially in recent years. As of September 2014, we surpassed 860 million total downloads worldwide and 340 million active users, with 65% of our monthly active users now coming from outside of China. We’ve also seen sizable recent growth in Brazil, Russia, India and China.
